A Very Yellow House

C'est une maison très voyante.
Lisl: Yes, one could hardly miss it, Martine
Oh that is bold ! But ( in the words of Dick Emery ) I like it ! smile
Lisl: Good - I did, too. Our bungalow is primrose, but I wonder if it would be too much of a shock to try this. Yes, perhaps so, it would look silly on a bungalow!
Whoa! That IS a very yellow house!
Lisl: More yellow you cannot get!

Your Twig Filter works well here, Lisl.
Lisl: Couldn't avoid it, Ray. When the leaves come out the house will not show so well
You can't miss it, but it has a certain charm and its bright yellow is good at the moment.
Lisl: I remember a bathroom in my childhood house - painted this colour

I am intrigued by that very long window Lisl.I see a blue plaque by the door, so maybe the place has an interesting history?
Lisl: I did read the plaque, but it was someone I didn't know, and I have forgotten

Ouch ...though I will say that rural Suffolk houses have been painted in similar hues.
Lisl: It doesn't look as if it will ever tone down
On ne peut pas la rater !! ...superbe
Lisl: Quite a head-turner on that street, Claudine

Lisl: Might be an appropriate colour, JP

Perhaps a little too eggy Lisl. Not as bad as the semi on the road to Rode from Bath. One house is painted a very strong purple and looks completely out of place. I feel for their neighbours.
Lisl: I must look out for it next time I can travel that way, Chad

This is a rare sight here. I have to travel to the Maritime Provinces to see colourful homes like this.
Lisl: It doesn't happen in Bath where I live, where everything is built in Bath Stone, but in Bristol, 15 miles away, there are many and varied colourful homes
I have a very yellow house near me too. It stands out. I must take a shot to send you.
Lisl: Please do, Care
I bet the decorators enjoyed painting this....makes a change from Magnolia
Lisl: It must have taken a long time. I guess the back is in the same colour
i have an impression that it would look just fine somewhere in Italy, Lisl - this shade i mean.
Lisl: Yes, perhaps better there, Ayush

Lisl: Yes, yellow is a happy, though also a warning, colour

I love that long tall window..May be there's a staircase there !
What a lovely home here..That bare tree also makes a lot of difference !!!
Devi smile))
Lisl: Yes, I think you are probably right about the staircase, Devi. And yes, it must make a lovely home
There's coloured houses and coloured houses, this falls into the same category as a cottage in a village not far from us which is the most awful shade of very bright pink!!
Lisl: You are not impressed, Brian!
i love that tree Lisl... the yellow house is only half that colour... they must have run out of yellow paint when they got to the back half of the house....petersmile
Lisl: That is the house next door, Peter! It is semi-detached

Wow! What a standout spotted here. I can only imagine what it's like when the sun is shining. smile
Lisl: Yes, this was actually taken on a dull January day
