Witty title, Lisl! I do wonder what they found humorous!
Lisl: Perhaps the owner of the pointing finger on the right has made a witty remark, Elizabeth

I wonder if you have a view of the ancestor from a different perspective...
Lisl: I do, Cherie! Perhaps I will show him sometime. His name is Robert Hungerford, and he died in 1459
On se croirait à  l'intérieur de la cathédrale de Saint Denis, tout pré du gisant du fameux Bertrand Du Guesclin.
J'aime la bonne humeur un peu irrespectueux de ce public bon enfant.
Lisl: Thank you, jeanmadis. This was taken in Salisbury Cathedral

A fine image, Lisl.
Lisl: Thank you very much, Ray
the barrier did not deter the finger prodding, Lisl.
Lisl: He has probably got all the smoother for it over the years, Ayush!
The lying certainly does not lack charm but what I appreciate in this picture are the expressions on the faces of the visitors. Excellent!
Lisl: Yes - I really posted it for those expressions, Marie, thank you

What a crowd of visitors or tourists! R.i.P.!
Lisl: These were on a special tour of the monuments of Salisbury Cathedral, Philine - a very select group!
Multiples questions semblent se poser chez ces messieurs ..
Lisl: Yes - you can see the interest in their faces, Claudine
LOL at Ayush! I love this, Lisl. Great "photo journalism."
Lisl: Saving it for when you got back, thank you, Ginnie
Les visiteurs ont l'air de bien s'amuser.
Lisl: Yes - I think they were enjoying themselves, Martine

What great point of view here, Lisl. I love all the details, those two hands around the pillow. That pointing finger and the expressions of the visitors...
Lisl: Thank you for taking it all in, Astrid

They won’t get much out of him Lisl.

The visitors seem to be very pleased with it. The chap resting his head on his hand seems to be having a conversation with the ancestors.
Lisl: Yes - he is obviously clairvoyant, Alan, and will get much more out of the encounter!
How strange........if Robert could see people at his tomb, what would he say? A great picture Lis smile
Lisl: Perhaps he has got used to it over the centuries - he was originally in a more "important" part of the Cathedral, and has been relegated

The dead person must be a restless sleeper, what with the two little hands holding the cushion. I would be restless too, if a bunch of old people were staring at me in my bed.
Lisl: Those are little angel hands, Louis! The people might have kept their voices down, but they were the sort who talk loudly
Is this your noble ancestor, Lisl?
Lisl: My noble ancestor was a Frenchman, Mary!
I don't think I've ever seen so many people gathered round a single tomb.
Lisl: They were part of a tour round the monuments of Salisbury Cathedral, Brian
A fine bit of marble sculpture!
Lisl: I think this may be alabaster, Tom
They are a rum looking lot Lisl
Lisl: Middle-England, Bill
there was quite a few ancestors to smiling at the sculpture Lisl... did they just find out that they were his kin....petersmile
Lisl: Not really, Peter, but I thought the title fitted
Very cool shot. I like the way the woman on the left is looking at her companion.
Lisl: They were a very attentive crowd
