Oh wonderful! Thomas Smith & Sons were renown for their steam cranes which were made in Rodlet near Leeds. I see the the one on the right has been vandalised by the CND mob.
Lisl: I guessed you might have known something about this, Alan
A fine rusting relic Lisl
Lisl: Quite impressive - I hope it is rescued soon, Bill

Well Done! Rust always makes interesting photography.
Lisl: Thank you, Andy - and in this tidy world, we see less and less of it
It's so sad to see such a fine piece of equipment in this condition, I hope it is repaired one day.
Lisl: I hope so, too - it is near Bitton Station, so hopefully will be looked after
Only just!
Lisl: I think it is being eyed up, hopefully
I like the rusty tones and shapes. Friendship
Lisl: Thank you, ruthie. A lot of photographers seem to like rust
