C'est bien de le signaler.
Lisl: Better than squashed toads!

Those little frogs are so hard to see. I am always delighted when I unexpectedly see one in my garden smile
Lisl: Yes - some are so small I have initially mistaken them for spiders
Careful! You could hit a prince! smile
Lisl: I hadn't thought of that, Larry - good thinking
We have those signs, but for deer...smile
Lisl: Most important, Frank
Oh, that's always a good thing to see!
Lisl: Sometimes they actually close roads during the toad crossing season
How delightful, Lisl. I makes me smile. smile
Lisl: I thought it might, Ginnie

Nice to think somebody cares about them
Lisl: We do, passionately, in this country

No bucket next to the sign?? We have signs like this and they even tell you the time they cross, as if frogs can read the clock.... we have volunteers that catch them in buckets and cross them over the road...
Lisl: Yes, we have bucket volunteers, too

Quite unusual!

Wwildlife never really got used to vehicle traffic Lisl.
Lisl: Sadly, no
We often have this kind of panel here to indicate us the crossing of amphibians at the time of the reproduction to spring.
Lisl: It's good that so many care
Oups...
But it is difficult to avoid them so much there are thousands sometimes on the road
Lisl: That is sad, Marie

well, isn't that very kind

i've seen people go out of their way to kill things in the road

i always go around them
Lisl: That is horrible when people do that
I would hate to run over a frog or toad (well Boris Johnson perhaps but he is an unpleasant toad grin)
Lisl: As long as you are personally selective, Bill
We ahd a little Frog outside the back door the other evening, we used to have quite a lot at one time.
Lisl: Gardens are drying out so much - they probably go further afield now in search ofdamp

In the New Forest there are a team of people that man a known toad and frog crossing for several weeks in the spring.
Lisl: It's great that people do. This used to happen locally, but now they close the road for some weeks
