Oh, you have done a good deed!
Lisl: I usually find them dead on the road, Philine
I haven't seen a slow worm in many a long year.
Lisl: We see quite a few round here this time of year. My neighbour had a grass snake in his garden last week

We have these where we live, but rarely seen. Then the cats rather like to attack them.
Lisl: Yes - I can imagine cats doing that. This one had lost its tail
Is it a snake or a worm?
Lisl: It is a legless lizard, Mary

What a great image Lisl.
Lisl: Thank you, Anne
I know they aren't snakes but sadly they fall into the same categroy for me, I couldn't go anywhere near it! Very good photo though.
Lisl: Thank you, Brian - they are quite harmless, but I know it could cause a bit of a shock seeing one
what a great curl...
Lisl: Holding on for fear life, Larry
A snake always makes a little bit cold in the back even if it is harmless.

Braver than me...Though, I came across one the other day and took photo's instead of running a mile!
Lisl: Well done, Frank - I bet yours was a real snake!

Lisl: It is beginning to get a patina on it, Peter
