I am imagining a Happy Face on this bird, Lisl.
Lisl: You could be right, Ray - I am sure the hot soil and sun felt good
Jolie prise de ce mignon petit oiseau. On dirait qu'il est tombé de son nid.
Lisl: Not quite - he is fully mature, but does look all over the place
It's like I am sitting at your dining table looking out to see this beauty, Lisl. I love the thought.
Lisl: You are spot on, Ginnie - taken from the dining room window!

What a great shot, seems to be some kind of a thrush.
Lisl: Yes, the Blackbird (Turdus merula) is in the thrush family
It's unusual to see those fluffed up feathers...
Lisl: I suppose he feels the sun on his skin better like that
A dust bath on a nice warm day. It is so cheering to see a bird.
Lisl: I know you enjoy birds, Mary. I always have problems taking pictures of small ones
