It seems to be a good week for foot-rests - Lisl (Monday) and Tiff (Tuesday), so here is another for good measure

This is wonderful, Lisl.
Lisl: The most amusing (or agonised) one I have found

Lisl: The eyes and mouth look traumatised

Ouf...un peu angoissant ce détail.
Lisl: It is a very odd sculpture altogether
What a face to have staring up at you. I love it.
Lisl: It's a good thing that the effigy can't see him
the eyes are a bit disturbing, Lisl. nice pointy boots thought.
Lisl: The latest fashioned of the day, Ayush!

Very amusing Lisl, Medieval I wonder?
Lisl: From one of the two effigies of William Canyngs in St. Mary Redcliffe. He died in 1474

The figure does not look to be pleased to be used as a footrest. The colours and also perhaps the facial features reminds me of that thing in the film "Alien".
Lisl: That is interesting - this is over 6 centuries old
Magnifique !
Bonne journée
Lisl: Thank you, Claudine - et bonne journée

Oh, this is very unusual! Where did you find this?
Lisl: This was in St. Mary Redcliffe, Philine - you may have walked past it

One can only wonder what he saw below that ankle length "dress".
Lisl: I didn't go here, Louis!

Il ferait un peu peur
JP
Lisl: He does look quite horrified
That is weird!
Lisl: As wierd as they get, and I was looking at some in Salisbury Cathedral today

Is it going to be footrest fortnight Lisl. I like the look of fear of this face.
Lisl: What a delight, Chad - I collected some more today, so watch out!
Rather strange item of work again.
Lisl: They don't get much weirder, Brian
Again, I am happy to see the colour in the stone and the incredible workmanship.
Lisl: That stone is called alabaster, quarried elsewhere in England, but very hard to come by now
He's clearly not a happy fella!
Lisl: He has been squirming there for too many centuries, Tom!
I think I have seen that guy in my dreams...
Lisl: Oh dear, Larry - I am sorry you have nightmares!
He looks rather frightened!
Lisl: I think he is being squashed, Elizabeth!
