They are pretty, and photogenic...but I cannot offer an identification, Lisl.
Lisl: I am now reliably informed that it is a Nene Goose from Haiwaii, and was rescued from possible extinction by an English naturalist called Peter Scott
These look remarkably like the Hawaiian Nene Goose. Where did you see these?

Lisl: Ah - thank you, Elizabeth - I asked a naturalist friend for an ID, too, but forgot to put it in the blurb. They were at a Wildlife and Wetlands Trust Reserve called Slimbridge in Gloucestershire
Oh - and it's really a beautiful photo, Lisl!
Lisl: Ah - thank'ee kindly, Eizabeth

Not really sure Lisl but surely these are geese rather than ducks
Lisl: You are correct, Chris - they are Geese - Nene Geese

I think they come under the umbrella of birds, Lisl. ;-)
Lisl: Thanks for that, Richard

A beautiful couple - and always cleaning themselves.
Lisl: They certainly are immaculate, Philine

They are Siamese twins Lisl.
Lisl: So they are, Chad! I am pleased they didn't try to swim off in different directions

Richard is a hoot.
Lisl: Perhaps he thinks these are owls, Chad
They are fine looking birds. I see you have identified them!
Lisl: I have had some professional help, Bill
They are certainly beautiful geese.
Lisl: I like the soft eye, Brian

They are a fine pair and I that you have now identified them.
Lisl: Yes - one of my naturalist friends helped
I like haw the sexes are identifiable by the bit of rouge on the male's cheeks.
Lisl: Is that so - thank you, Mary
wonderful plumage whatever they are
Lisl: They are very pretty, I agree
I recognised them but had forgotten their name...I knew Elizabeth would know! Super shot of this pair, Elisabeth.
