Magnifique goéland qui a trouvé de quoi boire.
Lisl: This is a Lesser Black-backed Gull - Bath is full of them, and they are very unpopular

Great shot, Lisl!

It is more a trickle than a fountain, heh!
Lisl: That's what I thought, Ray, thank you
As if the fountain is obeying the bird...
Lisl: Ah, yes, Larry
That is a gorgeous shot. So sharp and a perfect exposure.
Lisl: Thank you very much for such a kind comment, Michael
A terrific capture, Lisl!!
Lisl: Thank you, Elizabeth. It was taken on the day that Philine, Alan, Chris and I walked round Bath

Taken over by something that thinks it owns the place..
Lisl: Too many of them for the Council's pleasure, Chris

This is a lovely composition Lisl, and of course I know exactly where this is. As a child I was intrigued by the wording on this fountain that, water is best. How can that be , I thought, surely fizzy pop is better.
Lisl: All old Bathoninas love this fountain, Chad - it goes back to their childhood as you have commented. Rebecca has a nice face, too!

Oh, I remember well the fountain at Bath Abbey - and we saw a pigeon, too. I like your perspective.
Lisl: This was taken when we walked round Bath earlier this year, Philine

City gulls seem to be masters of the space these days and merely see us humans as providing for their needs. I watched Hitchcok's "The Birds" on my flight home on Friday; one day such events will lhappen, I'm sure!
Lisl: Surely not, Alan!!!

Its a lovely capture, by the way.
Lisl: Thank you, Alan. You were with me when I took this - the day Philine came to Bath

Mr Bryan said: "It was erected by the Bath Temperance Association in 1861.

"And it was basically to give people the option of water rather than alcohol."
Lisl: Very commendable, Philine. Good to have the option
Excellent capture in a beautiful attitude
Lisl: Thank you so much, Marie
Great shot, you must put it in your "Best Images" folder very quickly.
Lisl: Thank you, Brian - a very kind comment
I like this a lot, Lisl as I miss working in the city and seeing them close like this.
Lisl: I am delighted it has pleased you, Mary

The seagull doesn't look very impressed!
Lisl: Good place for it to drink, though
