Its uncluttered lines are quite attractive, Lisl.
Lisl: Yes, very pleasing lines, Ray
I do like the colour of the roof, the graveyard must be interesting.
Lisl: It was, Frank - there appeared to be parts of a very ancient coffin under the old yew there; I also noticed a lot of very unusual names being commemmorated
Amazing history! It's a lovely image, Lisl!
Lisl: Thank you, Elizabeth - I think this has now been added to my favourite churches list

A favourite place Lisl - glorious!
Lisl: Yes - I know you also love this place, Chris
I love learning about history like this from you, Lisl. This is to stare at.
Lisl: It's got to be one of our very "best" churches, Ginnie

Despite walking through the churchyard on several occasions (the last time as recently as late July) , I did not recognise the church at all! I don't recall seeing it in this light, either; it is usually under grey skies. It is very substantial for quite a rural area.
Lisl: Perhaps the area was more densely populated when it was built, Alan

This is so beautiful, the simple architecture is absolute fabulous. It is amazing that is still stands... Wonderful picture!!
Lisl: Thank you, Astrid - it is a spectacular building, inside and out

The good old Vicctorians missed this one Lisl. Just as well.
Lisl: Perhaps it was in good order throughout, or perhaps they just appreciated it?

Oh, your heart might have jumped up seeing this church! Alan never showed us this jewel in Hampshire.
Lisl: It's a gem, Philine - a bit out of the way
It is splendid Lisl
Lisl: You would be transported, Bill!

Je trouve ses formes un peu austères.
Lisl: Interesting, Martine - could be because it is mainly built of flint?

Très belle architecture et excellent cadrage avec le cimetière au premier plan et ce beau ciel en arrière plan.
Lisl: Thank you kindly, JMS. It was such a beautiful bright day for a building photograph

The brown roof is a stand-out feature
Lisl: Roofs of red tile, Louis
It goes without saying I would love to visit this church Lisl, it's lovely.
Lisl: It would, Brian - it is down the road from Salisbury and up the road from Bournemouth
This is a treasure then. So much history would have passed by.
Lisl: It is a treasure indeed, Mary. Nearby is an Elizabethan Manor House

What an impressive looking church.
Lisl: Inside and out, Anne
Magnificent quite simple church, stripped of any artifice with its small cemetery in front of. I like very much
Lisl: It is quite compelling, and looked good in the sunshine, Marie
A very interesting and unusual structure.
Lisl: It is, and I think it would interest you very much, Tom
you made a great find Lisl... how much time did you spent taking photo's of the stained glass windows....petersmile
Lisl: I just took a picture of one window. Most were plain, but there were Saxon murals on the walls!

Absolutely stunning -- so much history. Also, a bit of sadness with the graves -- I bet there are many stories to be told.
Lisl: Thank you for commenting, Emily. Yes, imagine if we could know something of the people buried here
