Is that an old tithing barn, Lisl?
Lisl: It is, Ray. It is on a former grange belonging the nunnery at Shaftsbury until the Dissolution of the Monasteries
It's a great barn indeed... what do they keep in it?
Lisl: It is now a very up-market art gallery, Larry

That is a long barn indeed... lots can be stored in it.. Was there an art exhibition as well, I recognize the 'colourfull outhouse'.....
Lisl: Yes, you are right, Astrid. The whole complex is now an art gallery
A wonderful composition, Lisl! Much to focus on!
Lisl: You are right, Elizabeth - so much to see (and more round the other side!!)
Ahhhh. So here's the wider context! I love it, Lisl.
Lisl: Perhaps we may go there one day, Ginnie

I am intrigued by the foreground building and what look like poles Lisl
Lisl: If you look at my posting of two days ago you can better see the poles, Chris - I guess they are just decorative

Elle est immense cette ferme et très classique au niveau architecture, également.
Lisl: It is the largest barn in England!

Aha, what a long one Lisl, and to think it's not the longest.
Lisl: You are correct there, Chad - it is the biggest but no the longest

What an interesting barn, a replica? Now I have an overview to place all the things you have shown.
Lisl: No, this is original 15th Century, Philine. It has recently been refurbished
What a fine building it is Lisl
Lisl: It's a cracker, Bill
I think I prefer the old barn to the strange building in front that you showed us the other day.
Lisl: I would so agree with you, Brian

Sooth sayers and bards abound, I think ...
Lisl: Many of them through the ages, no doubt, Louis
That is amazing. Is it thatched roof?
Lisl: It is, Mary. It has recently been refurbished

It is good that it is being maintained and put to good use.
Lisl: It is - the upkeep would be impossible without money like this

Ooooo... will we be seeing that when we go in 4 October? The summer house looks to be completely at odd with the long barn.
Lisl: Yes, Alan - your camera will be in in its element, and you too
Amazing - I'll have to look up Tisbury on Google Maps!
Lisl: A place I came across by accident earlier this year when looking for a cemetery with a friend. I keep going back
That is absolutely beautiful. Every part of it.
Lisl: It is a most attractive building, Michael, and 6 centuries old

Très jolie bâtisse.
Lisl: Agreed, Martine
This farm has a lot of charm for often the English farms and I find the charming small house there which you presented just before this photo. I like very much
Lisl: Thank you, Marie. It was a fascinating area

This is a wonderful old tything barn.
Lisl: It takes your breath away by the sheer length, Cherie. Please can you let me know how I can get into your site again?
