I love the quote above the ship. They might need it when they sail the seas. Great detail in the stained glass.
Lisl: Sailors traditionally always did this, and many still do
Lovely comp to catch just that bit of detail - very nice, Lisl! I trust God will find a buyer for Frank's house... how's that?! smile
I have a challenge for you on my blog today!
Lisl: I will keep that in mind all day, Elizabeth - perhaps do a bit of creative visualisation!
Don't you just love how we can find boats anywhere, Lisl!
Lisl: I do, Ginnie, sometimes in the most obscure places, too

Lovely picture and strong message. Either you or someone else showed picture(s) of these windows before?
Lisl: A similar window in the same church, I think, Louis

Original and beautiful stained glass. Love blue color of center
Lisl: It is superb glass, Marie
No doubt back in the old days the sailots did do as it says.
Lisl: And perhaps a few still do, Brian
What gorgeous old glass is on the bottom which makes me think the whole window is old.
Lisl: Looks old, Mary, but in actual fact is 20th Century. I have sent you a picture of the whole window
That is an interesting window Lisl.
Lisl: Just a small detail of the whole - next time you and Ange come down we could go to this Church (Wickwar, South Glos), as it has three good windows
Nice one, Lisl!
Lisl: Thank you, Tom - I always enjoy seeking out details in Church windows

I think life on the ocean is very much like that that especially in small dinghies such as these.
Lisl: You never know wit the sea, Alan
