Great bike Friday picture, Lisl. I love the rusted gears too. I assume the bike belongs to one of the boat owners?
Lisl: No idea, Astrid, but it was unattended

The bike is doing a fine job of holding up that jetty crane, Lisl.
Lisl: I hate to think what the result will be when the owner reclaims his bike, Ray
Like wheels in the middle of the wheels, Lisl. How fun to find this, I bet.
Lisl: I guess I miss more than I see, Ginnie

I wonder who Claud Butler was? He sounds not quite of this modern world
Lisl: Claud Butler was a London-based bicycle dealer and frame-builder, who from 1928 created a chain of bicycle-retail shops in London and the Midlands

a fine wheel composition!
Lisl: Thank you, Philine
Well it could be machinery Friday.
Lisl: A new series in the offing, Chad?
Makes a nice change!
Lisl: A bit of a boat in the background,Tom
Bikes and boats - I like all the circles in the shot.
Lisl: Thank you, Mary
In my youth Claude Butler bikes were regarded as something special as I recall. Now the name has been sold and it is just a bike
Lisl: I am pleased to remind you of the originals, then, Bill

Claud Butler was a one of the classic bike builders long before the Taiwanese came along. Very different to today's road bikes with their straighter forks, internally-routed cables and the use of carbon fibre.
Lisl: You would know, Alan - thank you
the one in between the two bikes is made for a giant... big rusty gears on it... Lisl....petersmile
Lisl: I see it in a different light now, Peter!
A perfect background for the bike...
Lisl: I thought the background better than the bike, Larry, but had not realised how interesting the bike was, too
