So sad that it was stolen - but this replica is so lovely!
Lisl: Thank goodness there are craftsmen still able to do this sort of work, Elizabeth
I agree with, Elizabeth, what kind of person would steal something like that, very sad....
Lisl: It is, Frank - other motifs were also cut out at the same time
Man alive! Who would dare steal such a thing, Lisl???
Lisl: Probably stolen to order, Ginnie

That is so sad that someone would sink so low as to steal something like this. It was fortunate that there were photos of the original to a low this to be made. It is fine piece in its own right.
Lisl: It is, Alan - the Church is no doubt very pleased with it

It is a lovely work, Lisl, and nicely photographed.
Lisl: Thank you, Ray - I hope to show the Church to Michael this weekend
I simply hate objects of beauty being stolen from public place sLisl. It is a crime against society. Down in Miserden park there was a bronze eagle on a pillar. Yes, that was stolen and now stands a stone orb instead. I felt a great loss at that.
Lisl: I understand how you feel, Chad - these things were made to give pleasure to everybody
I wonder why it was stolen? This replacement is beautifully done
Lisl: To grace someone else's panelled dining room or other, probably

This is a religious symbol - the replica is very good, but it is so sad that the original carving has been stolen. Who does such a crime?
Lisl: Someone who would get well paid for it, no doubt. There is not a much Georgian wood carving about

Lisl: Merci bien
It is beautiful carving, at elast it has been possible to replace the stolen original.
Lisl: It is so good, it helps make up for the theft, Brian
Old and new are both well done.
Lisl: They are, and with time, the new will darken

This is a fabulous replacement for the stolen dove. What a wonderful carving.
Lisl: Good that there are still such craftsmen, Astrid
Very beautiful work of wood carving and beautiful light to emphasize it
Lisl: It shone out behind the altar, Marie
