This is such a wonderful sundial, you hardly see them like that. Wonderful and love the sun on it.
Lisl: You are right - I have never seen one like this, and have walked past it many times before even noticing it
At first I thought it was a sextant, Lisl. smile (We saw one on the Antiques Road Trip yesterday, so it was in my mind. HA!)
Lisl: Believe it or not, Ginnie, you have walked right by this!

You could not get more simple than this. It looks much older than 1822. Shame able that cable, though!
Lisl: If I had a sundial like that I wouldn't put a cable anywhere near it, Alan
Well spotted Lisl, a great sundial.
Lisl: Isn't it just?

Impeccable... avec cette peinture lire qui souligne bien l'heure de ce fait.
Lisl: Lovely and clear - I wish I had checked the time!
I like very much these clocks in the old past which speaks to us about a bygone days and nevertheless where we ran less and where the life was more quiet.
Lisl: When time wasn't quite as important, too

If it was really 15:00 at the time, it would mean it is been a very reliable clock for almost 200 years.
Lisl: I wish I had checked it out, Louis
Was it accurate? Give or take BST smile
Lisl: I will check next time I walk by!
It's half past III.
Lisl: Very reliable

Such an unusual sundial. WOW!!
Lisl: It certainly is. Btw, I have been trying to get into your website via shutterchance for days, and have told it has been taken down?
only an hour to tea time Lisl... what a great find....petersmile
Lisl: I wouldn't have an old cable draped near it like the owners have, would you?
I love things like this! No doubt it's accurate!
Lisl: It probably is if it was when it was new
