It was the schooner Hesperus
That sailed the Wintry Sea...

[You seem to have got me started on recalling poems I loved as a Lad, Lisl]
Lisl: Let's keep it going then, Ray
That is a very nice piece of glass.
Lisl: I thought so, Michael
That's really wonderful!
Lisl: I scan stained glass for details like this, Elizabeth
very unusual (for me at least) to see this theme on glasswork, Lisl.
Lisl: Occasoanlly I find a ship on stained glass - I have a beauty to show another day
Well spotted, Elisabeth.
Lisl: I just can't resist looking at the detail on good stained glass, Frank
Don't you just love that we can find them everywhere, Lisl!
Lisl: I do, Ginnie - and they all qualify for the day

Je ne sais si c'est un vitrail ou une peinture mais en tout cas, c'est beau et bien fait !
Lisl: Je crois que c'est une peinture sur un vitrail
Oh, how wonderful! It looks very old too.
Lisl: I can't remember the date of the whole window, Mary

Having seen the location for this, I wonder why the church(?) as a window featuring this fine vessel.
Lisl: I am not sure, but it was in a St. Andrew's Church, and a friend of mine suggested this: "This top-sail schooner is perhaps a depiction of the ship in which St. Regulus took the relics of St. Andrew after his crucifiction. He was shipwrecked on the shores of Scotland, where his relics are supposed to be."
A great litle selection from a whole window.
Lisl: I wish I had photographed the whole window now, Brian
What a superb window, a real work of art.
Lisl: It really is, Martin
