A delight of an image, Lisl.
Lisl: Thank you so much, Ray
Is that just one, Elisabeth? Whatever, its a nice shot.
Lisl: Just one, Frank, thank you, but I don't know which one!
What an amazing image, Lisl! I bet you couldn't get him in the same position if you waited a hundred years! smile
Lisl: I bet not, Elizabeth - just lucky to be there at just the right moment

He's so full of breakfast that the plant can barely bear his weight
Lisl: And it doesn't appear as if he is eating this particular plant either

I've never seen one curled up before. You got some lovely detail in this.
Lisl: Not a usual pose, I doubt if I have more than a couple in my caterpillar file. Thank you, Alan
I have never seen one like that Lisl. Cracking picture
Lisl: Nor me - it is a foreigner!
I can't see it Lisl, unless that is just a tiny bit of it showing.
Lisl: Aw, Chad!

Je ne sais pas ce que sait ?
L'image est très bien réussie.
Lisl: It really is a caterpillar - une chenille
It plans to not fall off and has reverted to a ball. Very nice. I can smell the yarrow.
Lisl: And perhaps it looks more like a flower than a caterpillar that way (predators?)
Just one!? Amazing! Moth or butterfly?
Lisl: Just one, Tom. I wondered myself - this was taken in Hungary, and my caterpillar book only covers the British Isles. I suspect Moth
Very good composition for this picture Lisl, that caterpillar is quite the strangest looking character.
Lisl: Thank you, Brian - one of the oddest I have ever seen. I just wish I could identify it
I have never seen a curlicued caterpillar...
Lisl: I have on occasion, and they have alwasy been bristly ones
