On dirait une maison du moyen âge.
Lisl: It's called a Gothic or cottage orné
What a cool place, Lisl!
Lisl: Looks as if the roof might be leaking, Elizabeth

I hardly say this, but this looks so 'darling'. What a fabulous thatched roof. What a place.
Lisl: Another Bristol surprise - this was in a main street, Astrid
It still looks good though, Elisabeth.
Lisl: I would have thought the owners could get a grant for this, Frank
Oh my, Lisl. Can you imagine living there??? And you think keeping up the hedges is hard! HA!
Lisl: I wonder just what it is like inside, Ginnie

Such a pity they've let it get to this state Lisl
Lisl: It is, Chris - have you spotted this one on your perambulations in Bristol?

a wonderful thatcvhed, rustic cottage- where? Why do you say 'delapidation'? The house is well maintained.
Lisl: In Bristol, Philine. I thought the thatch needed renewing

Wow! Brilliant thatch job.

I wonder if there are folks capable of replacing it now that it is at end-of life?
Lisl: There definitely will be, Ray - thatching it still a thriving rural craft

You might be right - the renewing might be very expensive, English heritage or the NT should help!
Lisl: They certainly ought to get a grant, Philine
I imagine it will cost something to redo that thatch!
Lisl: I have noticed some new thatching elsewhere in Bristol, so the experts are there if the money could be found
It would cost a bob or two to re-thatch this place
Lisl: It would, but I hope it is done soon, Bill

This reminds me very much of the houses in Blaise Hamlet. I can imagine the a new roff would be hugely expensive.
Lisl: Probably built around the same time - it is Bristol again
Fabulous building Lisl, though I would hate to live in it.
Lisl: I suspectit would be rather poky inside, Chad
Very nice shapes and details. I love the stone fence too.
Lisl: No thatcher's mark on this one, but I have another nice one to send you, Mary
jolie maison!! amitiés
Lisl: One with a difference. Amitiés
Rustic but adorable. May be the house of elfs???
Lisl: It looks very much like it, Marie! This was in a main road in Bristol -an amazing survival
It is a delightfully designed cottage, but doesn't it need some expensive TLC.
Lisl: Yes, it's a shame top have let it got like this, but perhaps an old poor person lives there
Remarquable ce toit en chaume.
C'est très beau !
Belle capture.
Lisl: Merci beaucoup - J'ai été heureuse de trouver une telle maison
Quite a lot of character...
Lisl: But perhaps not much comfort?
