Très jolie photo de cette petite mouette.
Lisl: It looks less aggressive than most gulls, I thought

This lovely shot suggests you already have a firm grip on your new camera, Lisl.
Lisl: Trying hard, but thank you, Ray
That is a superb shot.

Very pretty too. When we did our walk the other day someone said "Oh look, there's a common gull, they're quite uncommon"
Lisl: I saw it, too - they seem to be in our area this time of year, and then they are indeed, uncommon

Black- headed? Black-tailed! The gull looks very self-confident.
Lisl: Yes, this is winter plumage, Philine. If you Google it, most of the pictures will show you the head almost completely black

I think you have a great time with this new 'toy'...
Love the crisp quality of this picture.
'a common gull, that is uncommon'... HA..... (read the comment from Chris)
Lisl: Saw that, Astrid - the Black-headed Gull is similar
The camera worked a treat here, Lisl. Very good.
Lisl: I think I am going to like my new toy, Mary
I know you've got a new camera, but for all that it's the person behind the lens who makes the picture, the camera is merely the tool for doing it, this is superb, any natural history enthusiast would have been pleased to have taken this.
Lisl: Another very kind comment, thank you, Brian
