What a great picture, Lisl...critter and bloom pop wonderfully!
Lisl: Thank you, Ray - I have been watching you work
It's macro animal time at SC!
Lisl: Yes - I have seen Prince today!
That is gorgeous.
Lisl: Thank you, Michael
A lovely shot, Elisabeth.
Lisl: Thank you kindly, Frank
Joli contraste de couleurs entre celles de l'insecte et celles de la fleur.
Lisl: And the lovely light enhanced them so I was fortunate

A cracking image; you've got some lovely detail. I suppose "Six-Spot" makes a better name than "Two-Spot-and-three-half-spots".
Lisl: Actually looking again, I think it is a five-spot, Alan!
I have never noticed these before Lisl.
Lisl: They will be on the hillsides near where you live, Chad, June-August
They are so striking
Lisl: We see lots of Burnet Moths here on the nearby hillsides, Martin

Well spotted Lis.,
Lisl: Thanks for the pun, Hugh
Superb macro. I love Zygena butterfly
Lisl: Many thanks, Marie. There seem to be many species of Burnets
What a pretty moth this is. It must be a daytimer.
Lisl: It is indeed, Mary, lucky for us
What a delightfully coloured/decorated moth. You are fast challenging Ray to be 'Nature Photographer of the Month'.
Lisl: Kind of you to say so, Brian, but I can't get in so close as Ray's macros!
handsome in the black and red patterns, Lisl.
Lisl: Yes - a handsome moth indeed, thank you, Ayush
Lovely picture Lisl
Lisl: Thank you, Bill
Seen lots of them in the past but not in Sheffield.
