A wonderful silent protest. But what are they saying no to?

I think it is a protest against Donald Duck's GSW [Great Southern Wall]. Lisl!
Lisl: They will be springing up everywhere soon, Ray
to what?
Lisl: Trying to stop the building of a very large "Park and Ride" on our important Water-Meadows, Larry

To the EU or to the Brexit?
Lisl: Neither, Philine. They are going to build a huge "Park and Ride" Car Park on our Water-meadows, Philine. This is will be near Chris's house

I did Lisl but the council didn't..
Lisl: First thing I Googled this morning, Chris. What folly apart from the eyesore, worse flooding and other attendant big probloems
Bonne idée pour s'affirmer..
Lisl: Unfortunately, it didn't help in the end, Claudine
I try to as often as I can.
Lisl: Good boy!

On sait ce qu'ils pensent
Lisl: Unfortunately, it did not work out
What do you mean by water meadows? I am glad the sign s did not work.
Lisl: Water meadow is really another term for a flood plain, but much smaller in size. They are vital to take the flood waters from the River Avon at least once every year, and putting a "Park & Ride" there is asking for trouble with all the run-off. Environmentally unsound, as well as an eyesore in a beautiful place. Chris will be able to see it from his house. I guess it will be under water within the year!

The term Water Meadow tells it all.
Apart from other important considerations its use is evidently limited when it floods, as we know it periodically does..
Lisl: Trying to invent the wheel again, Hugh - each new generation must make its stupid mistakes
I take it from Chris's comment the sign didn't work and the council gave the go ahead anyway, as they do!
Lisl: Afraid so, Brian. We are all bitterly disappointed
I say yes ! LOL !
Lisl: Thank you, Marie

If it is a water meadow the cars might get flooded
Lisl: I suspect they will - just a matter of time, no doubt
It is really the big problem for me that Shutterchance did not plan a newsletter because I forget to go to visit most people whom I appreciate and with a newsletter it is easier to miss nobody
Lisl: Can you see the page with all the pictures on each day, Marie?

Why can't councils have a bit of vision.
Lisl: Yes - vision and basic common sense, Richard
This could apply to many things... the Park & Ride, Brexit, Trump...
Lisl: There seem to be more things to say no against these days, Elizabeth

I want to say YES!!

But probably not to what that sign is protesting about...
Lisl: No - I think you would say no to that, Cherie
