A couple of handsome quizzical horses. Very nice shot.
Lisl: You are right, Michael - they were quizzical and pleased to have a human around
What a lovely shot, of the these lovely creatures! The little one seems to have unusually small ears...
Lisl: The little one looks more like a gipsy pony. My son bought a horse from the gypsy fair some years ago when he was travelling, and I seem to remember its ears like this
Ils sont très beaux ces deux chevaux dans la lumière
Lisl: They shone, Marie. I was pleased they had each other for company
Oh, les curieux ! Ils sont très beaux.
Lisl: A couple of characters, I think, Martine
What a friendly way to greet the new year, Lisl!
Lisl: I think they were lonely last week - everyone busy indoors

Dobbins do seem to like company, Lisl.
Lisl: They do, and they welcomed me for some conversation

You are the centre of attention Lisl
Lisl: They were just longing for some human contact over the holiday period, Chris
They look quietly content
Lisl: I imagine they are well-loved mounts, Bill
The sight of them just melts any stress you might have. Love this, Lisl.
Lisl: Imagine owning one, Mary!

I sense expectation. I hope you had a carrot for each, or a sugar lump !.
Lisl: Empty handed, I am afraid, Hugh
Horses are such lovely animals, but I wonder why they haven't both got their winter coats on.
Lisl: Perhaps one has a thicker natural coat?
magnificent animals Lisl... the one on the left is dressed for the dancegrin

Lisl: I must visit them again, Peter - they are just along the lane from here

If they were really pals, they would have been sharing the horse blanket ...
Lisl: Yes - the poor little one

I bet they are, too. They have come over to see what you're up to.
Lisl: They really wanted some other company, Alan

You have caught their interest - perhaps they were hoping for an apple or other food based treat..
Lisl: I think they were, Anne, but were unlucky

Did you have any polo's
Lisl: Regretfully - no, Richard
A nice looking pair of horses - it looks as though they are saying, "Got any carrots?"
Lisl: They were saying just that, Tom!
